Start earning better leads
It took me years to understand the power of good messaging. I used to think that if I designed a great product or offered a valuable service, leads would pour in. That was a mistake. My prospects weren’t clear on my offer, and frankly neither was I.
In my early career I learned the hard way that I would never earn great leads until I figured out how to articulate the value of my offer.
I started with my resume.
I assessed my skills, experience, work history, and personal values, and translated them into a short statement that I posted at the top of my resume. It worked. I started my agency career as a Junior Graphic Designer and worked my way up to Director before starting my own studio.
For six years I branded 20 startups, each with a unique proposition and audience. For each client I guided them through the process of writing a purpose statement as part of their core messaging. The ones that found greater success understood their value and were able to communicate it.
